The 110th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian poetess, public figure and member of the OUN's leadership, Olena Teliga.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Ukrainian poetess, public activist and member of the OUN leadership, Olena Teliga, a stone cross instead of a wooden one was erected and consecrated on the territory of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar".

 

On the occasion of this event near the Memorial Cross, a solemn rally dedicated to the memory of Olena Teliga and other OUN figures who were shot by the Nazi occupants in Babyn Yar took place.

 

The event was attended by the head of the OUN Bogdan Chervak, the head of the Women's Society named after Olga Basarab and Olena Teliga Nadia Strishenets, UWO chairman Boris Gumenyuk, chairman of the board of O. Olzhych Found Sergey Kot, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance Volodymyr Tilishchak, Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Rostislav Karandev, acting director  of the National Historic-Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" Boris Glazunov, the head of the National Council of Women of Ukraine Lyudmila Porokhnyak-Ganovska, the People's Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Levchenko, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and  the Institute of Literature named after T. Shevchenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, public activists, employees of the Reserve.
