On the evening of September 30, 2021, on the territory of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar", it was held a musical and poetic performance based on the poems of the winner of the Shevchenko Prize 2020 Marianna Kianovska from the collection of poems "Babyn Yar. Voices. The book includes 67 poems dedicated to tragic events. The event was organized by the Center for the Study of the History and Culture of Eastern European Jewry at the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", dedicated to the memory of all the victims who died in Babyn Yar during the German occupation of Kyiv in 1941-1943. Before the performance, Leonid Finberg, Director of the Center for the Study of the History and Culture of East European Jewry, and Roza Tapanova, Acting Director-General of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar", delivered the speeches. The rector of the Volodymyr Cathedral Patriarchal, Metropolitan Archpriest Father Borys Tabachek, prayed for the souls of those killed in Babyn Yar.
The director of the performance Oleh Liptsyn together with the actors and musicians "revived" the poems of Marianna Kiyanovska, therefore the audience present at the event could feel the horror of the tragedy that took place in Babyn Yar 80 years ago.
