Memorial Concert by Yevhen Hromov at “Living Memory”
On September 28, marking the 84th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy, the “Living Memory” exhibition center at the National Historical and Memorial Reserve Babyn Yar hosted a memorial piano concert by renowned Ukrainian pianist Yevhen Hromov.

The artist presented a special program performed within the striking setting of the international exhibition State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda.

The evening served as a profound reminder of the power of art — to preserve memory of past tragedies while standing against the terror that Russia continues to inflict on Ukraine today. In the language of music, the piano became testimony: we remember, we endure.
The commemoration program also includes the international exhibition State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda, organized in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
The exhibition explores how words and images — from newspaper headlines and posters to large-scale visual installations — prepared the ground for the crimes of the Holocaust and justified the Nazis’ war of annihilation.
